Tight Aggressive No Limit Texas Holdem Poker ? 3 Tips For More Profits

October 7th, 2011

Tight aggressive No Limit Texas Holdem Poker is the simplest and easiest way to profit playing poker, and these 3 tips will help you make even more money.

The more I play tight aggressive poker the more I enjoy. It never ceases to amaze me at how simple and effective this strategy is. However, there are a few gotchas that you need to watch out for, so read all these tips to make sure they never happen to you.

TAG No Limit Texas Holdem Poker  Tip #1

The first tip I have for you is to not worry about the natural ups and downs of play. Any poker style will have peaks and troughs and although TAG Holdem has a lot more peaks and less troughs these will still occur.

Sometimes the cards just don’t fall in your favour and you’ll take bad beats that shouldn’t have happened. Don’t worry about it, keep going with your original planned strategy and you’ll soon make the money back.

TAG No Limit Texas Holdem Poker  Tip #2

The second tip I have is to finely tune the tightness and aggressiveness of your TAG play to suit yourself. You can pick up a foolproof TAG strategy that is good to go, like the one I share around, but it is also very important to tune this for yourself.

If you want to tighten up a bit, loosen up a bit, get more aggressive or dial back the aggression it’s completely up to you. Just make sure you are getting the result you want.

TAG No Limit Texas Holdem Poker  Tip #3

The third tip I have is a very quick one. That is, don’t listen to certain players telling you TAG is bad, or that loose aggressive is much better. Different strategies are good for different people. TAG is a proven strategy, it is extremely low risk and you can profit massively from it. So just stick with TAG for now and when you get better you can branch out.

I know you are aware of how helpful these tips have been for you and are realizing that before you go on to read more poker information you need to have a think about how you are going to implement these the next time you play poker.

Texas holdem is using four variations and is distinguished from each other by their betting limits. In limit Texas holdem there is a predetermined betting limit on each round of betting. The game consists of two cards being dealt face down to each player and then five community cards being placed by the dealer a series of three (the flop) then two additional single cards (the turn and the river), with players having the option to check, bet or fold after each deal, betting may occur prior to the flop, on the flop, on the turn, and on the river.

In limit Texas holdem individuals compete for an amount of money contributed by the players themselves called the pot. The cards are dealt randomly and outside the control of players and each player attempts to control the amount of money in the pot based on the hand the player holds. The game is divided into a series of hands or deals.

When you are up against only one or two opponents on the river it is also important to bet your made one pair hands on the river if you have been driving the betting the rest of the hand. This is because your opponents at a typical no foldem holdem game will call the final river bet with as little as Ace-high. If you are raised then you should almost always throw away all one pair hands. The exception to this is against a tricky opponent who thinks they can make a river-bluff raise in the past.

A conclusion is also made if all but one player have folded and the pot is awarded to the player who has not folded.
